Best Budget Beach Clubs Dubai Under AED 200 — Top 10 Ranked

Published · Last updated · By Fredrik Filipsson

Dubai without the Dubai price tag. We've ranked ten beach clubs and public beaches where a full day of sun, sea and (sometimes) cocktails comes in well under AED 200 per person. From outright free (Kite Beach) to AED 80 (Barasti) to AED 180 (Soul Beach), this is the honest budget breakdown.

✍️ BeachClubDXB Editorial 🏆 10 venues ranked 💰 From FREE to AED 200 📖 14-min read

🔬 How We Defined "Budget"

The "AED 200" threshold is the per-person all-in cost for a working beach day — entry/sunbed, one drink and a lunch plate. That's the number that makes a Dubai beach day affordable on a regular basis, not just once a month. Every venue in this ranking hits that number or beats it.

  • Value — what you get versus what you pay. A free beach with no facilities scores lower than AED 80 at Barasti with a full pool.
  • Actual beach/pool quality — is the water clean, the sand cared for, the pool real or token?
  • Hidden costs — parking fees, mandatory min spend, compulsory sunbed rental. We flag all of them.
  • Experience — does the venue feel cheap or does it punch above its price? Some AED 100 venues deliver more than AED 400 ones.

We're honest about the trade-offs. Budget venues have real limits. This guide tells you where those limits bite.

Dubai has a reputation for expensive beach days, and parts of that reputation are deserved. A Friday at Nammos with a couple and a cabana can run AED 2,500. But off the top 10% of venues lies a whole layer of cheap, free and almost-free options that are quietly excellent. Kite Beach — completely free — is one of the best public beaches in the world. Barasti at AED 80 is a full hotel beach club. Al Mamzar charges AED 5 to enter a 99-hectare beach park with five coves.

This guide is aimed at Dubai residents who want a beach day every week rather than once a year. We've walked all ten, paid all ten, noted every hidden cost, and ranked them by honest value. If you're on holiday with a one-off luxury budget, this is not your list — try our luxury ranking. But if you want a sunbed, a swim and a cold drink for under AED 200, start here.

1
Kite Beach Dubai free public beach with Burj Al Arab backdrop, turquoise Arabian Gulf and golden sand

Kite Beach

📍 Umm Suqeim · Jumeirah💰 FREE entry · AED 50 sunbed rental⭐ 9.8/10 value

Why it wins #1: There is no cheaper beach day in Dubai, and there is almost no better one either. Kite Beach is a 14-kilometre stretch of golden public beach with direct Burj Al Arab views, clean turquoise water, free parking, free showers and toilets, a dozen food trucks and cafes, cycling path, volleyball nets, and a watersports zone for kite surfing, paddle boarding and jet ski. You can rent a sunbed and umbrella from one of the beach operators (AED 50–80) or bring your own towel. The water quality is monitored daily by Dubai Municipality. For the price of zero dirhams, it outperforms three-quarters of the paid venues in this city.

Pros

  • FREE entry, forever
  • Burj Al Arab backdrop
  • Food trucks + cafes nearby
  • Free showers, toilets, parking
  • Cycling + volleyball + kite

Cons

  • No alcohol (public beach)
  • BYO or rent sunbed separately
  • Crowded on weekends

2
Barasti Beach Le Meridien Mina Seyahi JBR pool and private beach with Marina skyline

Barasti Beach

📍 Le Meridien Mina Seyahi💰 AED 80 weekday · AED 150 weekend⭐ 9.4/10 value

Why #2: Barasti is genuinely the best-value paid beach club in Dubai. Entry starts at AED 80 on weekdays (AED 150 on weekends) and is fully redeemable against food and drinks, so you're effectively paying nothing for the facilities: a 2,000-capacity private beach at a five-star Le Meridien property, two pools, a big DJ stage, and full alcohol service until 2am. The crowd is a mix of residents, expats and tourists, the food menu is broad (pizzas, burgers, Asian, salads) and — critically — the vibe never feels budget. It just is.

Pros

  • AED 80 entry = credit, so it's free-in-effect
  • Private beach + two pools
  • Full alcohol licence, open till 2am
  • Huge and rarely sells out

Cons

  • Paid valet (AED 30)
  • Sunbed extra on weekends
  • Can get rowdy evenings

Soul Beach Dubai at JA Resort Jebel Ali Palm infinity pool beachfront with Mediterranean aesthetic

Soul Beach

📍 Jumeirah 3 · The Palm strip💰 AED 80–180 (weekday–weekend)⭐ 9.2/10 value

Why #3: Soul Beach is the best-kept budget secret on the Jumeirah strip. AED 80 weekday entry (AED 180 weekends) with full credit redeemable, a small but lovely pool, a quiet private beach, and a menu genuinely focused on fresh, healthy Mediterranean food. The crowd is 30s–40s, often residents from the neighbouring Jumeirah villas, and it's noticeably calmer than the JBR scene. If you want a quiet day that feels considered rather than cheap, this is the pick.

Pros

  • Genuinely healthy food
  • Quiet, mature crowd
  • Pool + beach included
  • Free parking

Cons

  • Smaller than JBR venues

Summersalt Beach Club at Jumeirah Al Naseem private beach with Burj Al Arab view Umm Suqeim Dubai

Summersalt

📍 Jumeirah Al Naseem · Umm Suqeim💰 AED 150–280⭐ 8.8/10 value

Why #4: At AED 150 weekday and AED 280 peak weekend, Summersalt is the cheapest way to access a full Jumeirah Group five-star property. You get private beach at the Jumeirah Al Naseem, a pool with Burj Al Arab views, and solid beach-club food. The rate is fully redeemable at the bar and restaurant. This is your under-AED-200 ticket into the Madinat Jumeirah ecosystem — normally Rolex territory.

Pros

  • Full Burj Al Arab view
  • Jumeirah Group standards
  • Rooftop bar vibe + late hours
  • Fully redeemable entry

Cons

  • Weekend creeps over AED 200
  • Smaller beach

La Mer Beach Dubai Jumeirah 1 with palm trees, boats and turquoise Arabian Gulf waters

La Mer Beach

📍 Jumeirah 1 · La Mer💰 AED 150–280⭐ 8.5/10 value

Why #5: Not one venue but a lifestyle destination of 130+ outlets fronting an excellent public-access beach. You can just show up and use the public stretch for free, then pay AED 150–280 at any of the sit-down venues (Scape, Twiggy, La Tablita) for sunbed access and full service. The flexibility is the point — it's the only budget option that combines a day at the beach with genuine variety, from takeaway shawarma to proper Italian lunch.

Pros

  • 130+ F&B variety
  • Free public beach stretch
  • Central Jumeirah 1 location
  • Great for families

Ula Beach Club Dubai boho Mediterranean pool with white swings and sunbeds at DUKES The Palm

Ula Beach Club

📍 DUKES The Palm💰 AED 170 (fully redeemable)⭐ 8.6/10 value

Why #6: A criminally underrated Palm Jumeirah option. Ula sits on the DUKES The Palm strip with a boho-Mediterranean pool, white swing loungers, private beach access, and a full restaurant. The AED 170 entry (AED 250 weekend) is fully redeemable. It's the cheapest way to do a full Palm day at a licensed property — and the aesthetic is better than venues twice the price.

Pros

  • Palm Jumeirah access under AED 200
  • Instagram-worthy swing loungers
  • Pool + beach + food
  • Mediterranean vibe

Cons

  • Small venue
  • Weekend hits AED 250

Hilton Al Habtoor City rooftop pool deck with Olympic 50m pool and Dubai Water Canal skyline views

Hilton Al Habtoor City Pool

📍 Al Habtoor City · Business Bay💰 AED 150 weekday · AED 200 weekend⭐ 8.3/10 value

Why #7: Not a beach, but a full five-star hotel pool complex with three separate pools including a 50m Olympic lap pool, all on a rooftop overlooking the Dubai Water Canal. AED 150 weekday day-pass gets you in, and the crowd is mostly hotel guests + serious lap swimmers. Perfect if you're in Downtown or Business Bay and don't want the drive to JBR.

Pros

  • Three rooftop pools (50m lap pool)
  • Serious swimmers' venue
  • Central Business Bay location
  • Full hotel amenities

Cons

  • No beach — pool only
  • Quieter vibe (by design)

Scoopi Beach at Kite Beach Dubai with sunbeds and Burj Al Arab views

Scoopi Kite Beach

📍 Kite Beach · Umm Suqeim💰 AED 95 sunbed · free beach⭐ 8.5/10 value

Why #8: Scoopi is the sunbed operator on the free Kite Beach. AED 95 gets you a dedicated sunbed, umbrella and towel on a prime section of the public beach directly facing the Burj Al Arab — with a cafe behind you for food and drinks (no alcohol, it's a public beach). For AED 95 vs Kite's free nothing, you trade up for comfort without giving up the free beach. This is how Dubai locals actually do Kite Beach in summer.

Pros

  • AED 95 sunbed on a free beach
  • Direct Burj Al Arab view
  • Towels + umbrella included
  • Cafe right behind

Cons

  • No alcohol (public beach)
  • Small operator — limited beds
  • Hot in summer even with umbrella

Jones the Grocer Beach J1 Dubai beach cafe sunbeds on Jumeirah 1 coast

Jones the Grocer Beach

📍 J1 Beach · Jumeirah 1💰 AED 150 (credit)⭐ 8.0/10 value

Why #9: The cheapest entry at the J1 Beach cluster — AED 150 fully redeemable against food and drinks at Jones the Grocer's new beachside outpost. You get private J1 Beach access, a sunbed, and the Jones food menu (salads, sourdough sandwiches, cheese boards). If you want to do the fancy J1 strip without the AED 500 Teddy's or BABA bill, this is the play.

Pros

  • Cheapest J1 Beach access
  • Fully redeemable entry
  • Strong deli-style menu
  • Central Jumeirah 1

Cons

  • No pool (beach only)
  • Small sunbed allocation
  • Neighbours are much pricier

Al Mamzar Beach Park Dubai Deira side with five coves and sunbeds — AED 5 entry

Al Mamzar Beach Park

📍 Al Mamzar · Deira side💰 AED 5 entry · AED 50 sunbed⭐ 8.4/10 value

Why #10: The genuinely cheapest paid beach in Dubai — AED 5 to enter a 99-hectare Dubai Municipality beach park with five separate coves, landscaped gardens, BBQ zones, children's play areas and some of the cleanest sand in the emirate. Sunbeds rent for AED 50. For a family of four, a full beach day including sunbeds comes to around AED 220. It's on the Deira/Sharjah side so it's remote for Marina/JBR residents, but it's the best family-value option in the city.

Pros

  • AED 5 entry — the lowest paid
  • 99 hectares, five coves
  • BBQ zones, playgrounds
  • Family-friendly by design

Cons

  • No alcohol (municipal)
  • Remote from Marina/JBR (30+ km)

The Honest Budget Truth

What You Actually Give Up at This Price

Every venue above is genuinely worth its price, but under-AED-200 venues do share some real limits you should know before you go:

  • Food menus are narrower. Expect pizza, burgers, salads — not foie gras. Jones the Grocer and Soul Beach are the honourable exceptions, with genuinely good menus.
  • Cabanas are rare or extra. None of the top three offer a cabana in the base price. Barasti has them from AED 500, Soul Beach from AED 400.
  • Service is self-serve-ish. You'll queue at the bar or flag down waiters — no dedicated sunbed concierge. Acceptable for the price.
  • Weekends add surge. Almost every venue listed jumps 50–100% on weekends. Visit midweek for the real value.
  • No valet or free parking. Expect AED 30 valet at Barasti, AED 30 mall parking at La Mer, free parking at Kite and Al Mamzar.

The trade-offs are completely fair for the price. If you want the cabana, the concierge and the premium menu, your budget is closer to AED 400–700 — see our luxury ranking.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cheapest beach club in Dubai? +
Kite Beach is the cheapest beach experience at AED 0 — completely free public beach with paid optional facilities. For a paid venue with pool, Barasti at AED 80 weekday entry (fully redeemable against food/drinks) is the cheapest licensed beach club.
Can you have a beach day in Dubai for under AED 200? +
Easily. Kite Beach is free. Barasti is AED 80. Soul Beach AED 80–180 weekday. Al Mamzar Beach Park is AED 5 entry. A full beach day including sunbed, lunch and drinks for two people under AED 400 total is very realistic — especially on weekdays.
Is minimum spend included in budget beach club pricing? +
Yes at most venues — Barasti, Soul Beach, Summersalt, Ula, Jones and La Mer all redeem 100% of your entry fee against food and drinks. So you're effectively not paying to enter; you're pre-paying your food. Only Al Mamzar, Kite and Scoopi charge a non-redeemable fee (AED 5, free, and AED 95 respectively).
Are there free beaches in Dubai? +
Yes — Kite Beach, JBR Public Beach, Umm Suqeim Open Beach, Sunset Beach and Palm West Beach are all free to enter with full facilities including showers, toilets and (mostly) free parking. Al Mamzar Beach Park is AED 5. See our free beaches ranking for all ten.
What is the catch with cheap beach clubs? +
The trade-offs are usually: smaller pool, older facilities, narrower food menu, no cabanas in the base price, no dedicated sunbed waiter, and (at free/municipal beaches) no alcohol licence. But for the price you pay, the actual beach and pool experience is often identical to venues charging 3x more. Dubai's sea, sand and sunshine are free regardless of what you spend on entry.
