About Scoopi Beach

Scoopi Beach is the pay-to-lounge setup pinned to the middle of Kite Beach — Dubai's 3-kilometre public beach strip along Jumeirah 3, 2D Street. If the five-star Jumeirah beach clubs feel like too much money, too much planning, and too much "do I need a reservation?", Scoopi is the opposite. You show up, you hand over AED 50 or AED 80 depending on the day of the week, and you get a sunbed, a parasol, a towel, and a panoramic view of the Burj Al Arab on your right and Ain Dubai on your left.

The name comes from the Scoopi ice cream brand — a much-loved local scoop counter whose founders opened this casual beachside arm as a low-friction alternative to the big resort clubs. You will still find the famous ice cream (pistachio, rose-and-cardamom, salted caramel are the crowd favourites), but the setup is now a full sunbed and cabana operation with a beach-food menu, sheltered restrooms, outdoor showers and a service team that actually walks the sand to take orders.

It is the best budget-and-families option in central Dubai. There is no minimum spend. You are allowed to bring your own water. The kids menu runs to AED 25–45 per plate. Cabanas go from AED 400 weekday to AED 700 weekend for a party of six. And because Kite Beach is a public beach — patrolled, lifeguarded, with toilets and a promenade — you're effectively paying for shade, a lounger, table service and proximity to the ice cream fridge, while the rest of the infrastructure is already there.

It is also the most democratic beach club on the site. You will find tourists from Europe, families from Sharjah, Emirati grandparents with grandchildren, personal trainers running 7am beach bootcamps, kite-surfers taking 20-dirham lessons 100 metres down the sand, and a Ramblas-style evening promenade of food trucks and joggers along 2D Street. It's Dubai without the velvet rope — and after a few visits most residents come back to it precisely because of that.

★★★★★
"Cheap, cheerful, and honestly better than some AED 400 day passes we've paid. AED 50 each, took our ice-cream-obsessed 7-year-old, he did three flavours and the slide. Sunset over Burj Al Arab was free. What's not to love?"

"Good casual option on Kite Beach. Bring cash for faster service. The chicken shawarma is legitimately great, and the pistachio ice cream is worth the drive on its own. Downside: gets crowded after 4pm on Fridays."
— Aisha B., Sharjah · March 2026
★★★★★
"Best value beach day in Dubai — full stop. Brought visiting parents who were not ready for five-star Dubai prices. They spent AED 200 total for two sunbeds, shawarmas and ice cream for four, and got the exact same Burj Al Arab view a AED 800 day pass gets you 3km away."
