Palm Jumeirah · DUKES The Palm
Boho Mediterranean on the Palm's Trunk
Ula Dubai is Palm Jumeirah's answer to Tulum. Opened in 2021 on the site of the old West 14th at DUKES The Palm, it has since become one of the most consistently booked beach clubs on the Palm — celebrated for a genuinely warm atmosphere, one of the largest pools on the island (1,400 sqm), and an aesthetic that lands halfway between Ibiza and the Yucatán.
The design is boho-Mediterranean through and through: white-washed walls, rattan pendants, macramé hangings, driftwood furniture, and the now-iconic swings at the beach bar that have become one of the most photographed vignettes on Palm Jumeirah. The layout flows — indoor-outdoor seating on the lower terrace, a vast pool deck fringed with sunbeds and cabanas, and direct access to a wide stretch of private sand with loungers right at the waterline.
The F&B programme is built around Mediterranean cuisine with strong Greek and Spanish accents — chicken and beef gyros, burrata, tapas plates, maki rolls, wood-fired pizzas, and a generous salad section. The cocktail list leans into fresh citrus, herbs, and a proper Provençal rosé programme. It is a menu built for grazing across a long day rather than a single formal sitting.
What sets Ula apart is the accessibility — at AED 150 weekday/AED 250 weekend with a pool this big and a vibe this strong, it is one of the most compelling value propositions on the Palm. Sunset turns the venue golden and the DJ arrives, but the atmosphere never tips into nightclub. It's chilled, social, and consistently one of our most recommended Palm options.
