An Olympic-Sized Rooftop on Sheikh Zayed Road

Hilton Dubai Al Habtoor City occupies one of Sheikh Zayed Road's most prominent addresses — the Al Habtoor City complex, a trio of interconnected hotels (Hilton, Habtoor Palace LXR and V Hotel Curio Collection) sharing one of the largest elevated pool decks in the city. The 7th-floor pool complex is the star: an Olympic-spec 50-metre lap pool flanked by two smaller leisure pools, surrounded by daybeds and cabanas with direct views over the Dubai Water Canal and the Burj Khalifa skyline.

For a specific type of pool-pass visitor — serious lap swimmers, Business Bay and Downtown residents looking for a fitness-oriented day, and couples who want a city-skyline pool experience without Palm Jumeirah prices — this is one of the best-value options in Dubai. At AED 150 on weekdays, you're getting a 5-star rooftop pool deck for less than the entry price of most beach clubs, and the 50m lane pool is one of only a handful of true Olympic-sized pools accessible to non-guests anywhere in Dubai.

The pool deck itself is thoughtfully designed. The Olympic pool sits at the centre for serious swimming, with marked lanes and a 2.1-metre deep end. A separate leisure pool with a shallow section works well for children and casual dips, and a third smaller pool serves the cabana cluster. The deck is bordered by shaded daybeds, a small plunge pool, a jacuzzi, and direct walkway access to the 7th-floor fitness centre — which you can also use on the day pass. Dining is available at the Al Bayt Arabic terrace and the Oval Bar.

Compared to the Palm Jumeirah beach-club pools, Hilton Al Habtoor City trades ocean views for city views, beach sand for rooftop design, and beach-club scene for something considerably calmer and more functional. The deliberate choice makes sense for Business Bay and Downtown residents, hotel stopovers, and anyone who values skyline photography over Instagram beach shots. See all Downtown venues →

Food & Beverage

Dining at Al Habtoor City

Your day-pass credit is valid across the full Al Habtoor City dining portfolio — three hotels' worth of restaurants connected by internal walkways. That puts around 15 outlets at your disposal, from the poolside Al Bayt Arabic grill to the Portuguese-steakhouse hybrid Zenon, and from Persian fine dining at Namak to Polo-themed all-day BQ French brasserie. Few rooftop pool passes in Dubai give you this many food options in one booking.

The Oval Bar on the 7th floor is the social anchor of the pool deck — craft cocktails, light bites, and direct sightlines down the Olympic pool. Al Bayt, in an adjacent wing, serves Lebanese mezze on a shaded terrace looking out at the canal. For a proper sit-down meal between dips, Ristorante Brunello (Italian) and Enigma (Japanese-Peruvian) are short indoor walks away.

Poolside service runs from 10:00 to 20:00. A shortened pool menu covers salads, wraps, grilled fish and Arabic mezze, plus a full cocktail and mocktail list. Kids' menus are available at every outlet and most offer free Coca-Cola refills for children with a main course.

🍹 Signature Drink: Oval Bar canal spritz
🍽️ Must-Try Dish: Al Bayt mixed grill mezze platter
🥂 Brunch: BQ French Kiss Saturday brunch AED 395–595
💰 F&B Credit: Valid across all three hotels

Practical Information

What to Know Before You Go

👗

Dress Code

Swimwear welcome on the pool deck. Cover-ups and footwear required in restaurants, lobbies and fitness centre. Evening dining (Zenon, Enigma, Namak) enforces smart casual — collared shirts for men, no swimwear or flip-flops. La Perle theatre has its own dress requirements if you're attending a show.

📅

Reservations

Weekday walk-ins are typically fine. Weekend pool passes fill by 11am in high season — book at least 3–5 days ahead for Saturdays. Olympic pool lap lanes are never reserved — first come, first swim. Cabanas need 72 hours notice.

Cancellation Policy

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before arrival on standard passes. Cabanas require 48 hours notice. Fitness combos that include a named personal trainer session require 72 hours cancellation to issue a refund.

🚗

Getting There

Located on Sheikh Zayed Road at the Al Habtoor City exit (opposite the Dubai Water Canal). Free underground parking for day-pass guests. Approximately 5 minutes from Downtown, 10 from Business Bay, 15 from Dubai Marina. Nearest metro: Business Bay (Red Line, 8-minute walk via the Al Habtoor City bridge).

👶

Age Policy

Children welcome on day passes. A dedicated shallow kids pool sits beside the leisure pool. The Olympic lap pool has a 2.1m deep end and is not recommended for unsupervised under-12s. Children's day-pass pricing at approximately half the adult rate. No formal kids club but large leisure pool area.

📱

What to Bring

Sunscreen, sunglasses, cover-up for transitions through the hotel. The deck is fully exposed — a hat is useful during midday. Lap swimmers should bring their own goggles and cap (not provided). Towels and basic amenities included. Credit card for anything above the F&B credit.

"I've been coming here weekly for nearly a year. The Olympic pool is serious — 50m with proper lane lines — and the AED 100 early bird gets you three hours of quiet, uninterrupted laps plus fitness centre. Best swim-fitness value in Downtown Dubai, full stop."

David L. — March 2026
★★★★

"Did a long weekend pool day with canal views and good food from the Oval Bar. Deck was busy but never unpleasant — plenty of sunbeds because three hotels share it. The F&B credit stretched further at Al Bayt than at Oval Bar. Perfect for Business Bay residents on a day off."

Salma H. — February 2026
★★★★

"Not a beach day, don't come expecting one. But as a rooftop city pool with skyline views for AED 150 on a weekday? Unbeatable. Service at the pool can be slow when busy — faster to order at the Oval Bar directly."

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is a day pass at Hilton Al Habtoor City?+
Adult pool day passes start from AED 150 on weekdays (Sun–Thu) and AED 250 on weekends (Fri–Sat). The AED 100 early-bird lap pass is available weekdays 07:00–10:00 for serious lap swimmers. Children's passes are approximately half price. All passes include pool deck access, fitness centre, changing rooms, towel, and a redeemable F&B credit.
Does the pass work for all three hotels?+
Yes. Al Habtoor City is an integrated complex — the Hilton, Habtoor Palace LXR, and V Hotel Curio Collection share the same 7th-floor pool deck. Your day pass grants access to all three rooftop pools, the shared fitness centre, and any cabana you book. Your F&B credit is valid across restaurants in all three hotels via internal walkways.
Is the Olympic pool really 50 metres?+
Yes — a full 50-metre Olympic-specification lap pool with marked lanes and a 2.1-metre deep end. It is one of only a handful of true 50m pools accessible on a day-pass basis anywhere in Dubai (others being JA Beach Hotel and Atlantis). The early-bird window 07:00–10:00 on weekdays is the best time for serious training.
What are the pool views like?+
The 7th-floor deck offers panoramic views of the Dubai Water Canal directly below, the Burj Khalifa to the east, and the Sheikh Zayed Road skyline. It is one of Business Bay's best-positioned rooftop pools. Sunset views (winter 17:30, summer 19:30) are particularly photogenic, with the canal boats passing beneath.
Is parking free?+
Yes — underground self-parking is free for all day-pass guests. The hotel is immediately off Sheikh Zayed Road at the Al Habtoor City exit. Validated parking slips are issued at the Hilton reception on arrival. Valet parking is also available for a small fee.
Is this a beach club or a pool club?+
It is strictly a rooftop pool club — there is no beach access. Al Habtoor City is 12km from the nearest beach. Choose this venue if you want city and canal views, serious lap swimming, or a quieter non-beach pool day. Choose a JBR, Palm Jumeirah, or Jumeirah beach club if beach sand and sea swimming are priorities.
