Tropical Jungle Day Club + Moon Room After Midnight
Bâoli is the international luxury Japanese-with-nightlife brand that originated in Cannes and has since opened in Miami, Mykonos, Saint-Tropez, and now Dubai at J1 Beach. The Dubai venue is the largest of the cluster and runs a multi-zone footprint: a beachfront with sushi-grade sun loungers, an inland pool and petal-shaped Sun Deck, a Sunset Lounge that takes over the dinner-and-DJ slot from 17:30, an indoor-outdoor restaurant in tropical jungle aesthetic — and, hidden in the rear of the venue, the Moon Room: a late-night speakeasy with international DJs that runs until 2am on Thursday-Saturday.
The design language is what Bâoli calls 'sanctuary aesthetic': dense tropical planting, bamboo structures, soft uplighting, water features, and paths that wind between dining zones — closer to a Bali jungle resort than a typical Dubai pool club. The intent is that the venue plays differently in each part of the day. Day is restaurant-driven and pool-led; sunset transitions to lounge with DJs working a softer Mediterranean-house programme; late evening becomes dinner-with-music; midnight onwards (Th–Sa) the Moon Room opens and the venue becomes a club venue.
Food is the kitchen calling card. The sushi-and-robata programme is on par with Dubai's serious Japanese-restaurant set. Premium sashimi and nigiri, signature handrolls (truffle, prawn tempura), creative shareable maki, tartares and carpaccios, oysters, caviar, and grilled robata-style proteins — wagyu cuts, seafood, vegetable skewers. The food sets Bâoli apart from the more lifestyle-coded J1 Beach venues; it's a place where serious foodies can build a long lunch around the sushi counter. Compare Bâoli vs Nobu by the Beach →
Where Bâoli sits in the J1 Beach lineup: the most ambitious nightlife operation (Moon Room is unique to it), the most food-forward Japanese kitchen, the largest single venue by zone count, and the latest-opening (2am Thursday-Saturday). Couples and groups who want a single venue that delivers food, daybeds, sunset, dinner, and a club without changing locations should anchor here.

Modern Japanese
Sushi + Robata by Bâoli
The Bâoli kitchen runs a serious modern Japanese programme. The sushi counter offers premium sashimi and nigiri (Bluefin tuna, hamachi, uni, ikura) with pieces priced individually for an omakase-style ordering experience. Signature handrolls go further with truffle, prawn tempura, and uni-toppings. The maki section runs creative builds — soft-shell crab, Wagyu carpaccio, premium caviar additions. Tartares and carpaccios occupy a serious section of the menu.
The robata grill anchors the cooked side: Wagyu cuts, lamb chops, miso-glazed black cod, seafood skewers, vegetable preparations. The drinks programme is sake-and-cocktail led — premium sake from Yamada Nishiki rice growers, signature Bâoli cocktails (Lychee Martini, Yuzu Negroni), Champagne, and a Burgundy-leaning wine list. Service runs at international Bâoli standard, multilingual, and used to managing the day-to-night transition.

What Guests Say
"The sushi at Bâoli is a serious operation — counter omakase with proper sashimi sourcing. Walked across to the Sunset Lounge after for cocktails, then ended up in the Moon Room until 2am. One venue, four entirely different rooms. The international Bâoli standard genuinely landed in Dubai."
"Cabana for 6 — booked the beachfront cabana, ordered the sushi platters and Wagyu robata for the table, drank champagne and sake all afternoon. The team paced the meal beautifully. The petal-shaped Sun Deck is a proper Instagram set. Will come back specifically for the Moon Room."
"Beautiful design, serious food, expensive at the top end. The Moon Room is tight-controlled and properly run as a club rather than just a late lounge. Skip if you wanted a quiet beach day — Bâoli is busy and built for atmosphere."
