Cloud 22 is the bucket-list experience. At 210 metres, you're literally at the top of Dubai's tallest hotel, with a 360-degree infinity pool that creates the illusion you're swimming above the city. The photographic moment is unmatched — this is Instagram gold. The pool design is extraordinary: multiple temperature zones, swim-up bars with different cocktail menus, and architectural features that make every angle photogenic.

Food is good — Mediterranean-influenced with focus on seafood. Service is Atlantis-standard: professional and attentive. The main constraint: Cloud 22 is strictly 21+ (no children, no exceptions), and it can feel crowded during peak hours. But the atmosphere is cosmopolitan, the energy is palpable and if you're visiting Dubai once, this should be on your list.

Day pass pricing AED 350–600 is premium but includes the Atlantis experience and you're paying for a genuinely unique experience. Summer comfort is excellent — the elevation provides natural breeze and the rooftop position means cooler temperatures than ground-level venues.

Drift Beach is the antidote to Dubai's busier venues. Tucked away on a 250-metre private beach in Umm Suqeim (one of Dubai's quietest residential areas), it offers intimate luxury without spectacle. The beach is impeccably maintained, the guest count is capped (no crowds), and the service is discreet and attentive. This is where you go if you want to feel like a local or someone wealthy enough to avoid crowds.

The food is genuinely excellent — Mediterranean with focus on fresh seafood, prepared with skill. Prices for food are high (as expected) but the quality justifies it. The atmosphere is sophisticated and mature. The beach access is direct and immediate — no wading through crowds to get to sand. Parking is free validated.

Day passes AED 450–700 are premium but you're paying for genuine privacy, excellent food and service that anticipates your needs. The main downside: no dramatic views or Instagram moments — this is about experience rather than aesthetics. And it can feel quiet if you're seeking energy and atmosphere.
