The Wave-Shaped Icon of Dubai Beach

Jumeirah Beach Hotel is the single most recognisable beachfront hotel in Dubai after the Burj Al Arab itself — and it stands directly alongside its more famous neighbour, separated by nothing more than a private jetty and 200 metres of turquoise water. The wave-shaped tower has defined the Dubai skyline since 1997, and the Pavilion pool day pass grants access to what is arguably the city's most complete family-luxury beachfront experience.

Five outdoor swimming pools are spread across the property. The main Pavilion pool faces the sea with sweeping Burj Al Arab views — the photograph every guest takes. The family pool is shaded by palms and overlooks the beach lagoon. A dedicated children's pool with a gentle slide keeps younger guests happy, while a quieter adult pool offers a calm retreat on busier days. The fifth pool services the hotel's private club floors. The combined pool area and 600-metre private beach make this one of Dubai's largest single-hotel aquatic footprints.

What makes JBH unique as a day-pass destination is the ecosystem it sits inside. The hotel is part of the Madinat Jumeirah resort complex, connected by walkways and water taxis to Wild Wadi Waterpark (access available as an add-on) and to the souk-styled Madinat itself. A day pass here isn't just a beach day — it's access to a resort village with more than 40 restaurants and bars within walking distance, multiple kids clubs, Talise Spa, and the best angle on the Burj Al Arab that any day-pass visitor can buy.

At AED 300 on weekdays, JBH's pool pass is genuinely well-priced against peers. AED 450 on weekends reflects high demand — book at least a week ahead during October–April. Families, in particular, tend to rate JBH above all other Dubai luxury pool passes because of the sheer scale and variety of activities on offer. See all family-friendly venues →

Food & Beverage

Dining at Jumeirah Beach Hotel

The JBH day pass credit can be spent across the hotel's own stable of restaurants and, with a small surcharge, at most of the 40+ outlets scattered through the wider Madinat Jumeirah complex. That makes this one of the most flexible F&B experiences of any Dubai pool pass — you can eat Lebanese for lunch, Thai at dinner, grab gelato on a souk walk in between, and still be back at your sunbed before sunset.

Villa Beach is the signature sunset restaurant, built on wooden platforms right on the sand with direct Burj Al Arab views. Latitude serves Mediterranean all-day dining with a poolside terrace. The Sunset Bar is the legendary cocktail spot — book a Thursday evening for the best Burj Al Arab photography light. For families, 360° (now Uli on the Pier) offers casual seafood and pizzas on the rebuilt pier.

Poolside service runs from 09:00 to sunset. Lightweight menus — salads, grilled chicken, burgers, sandwiches, smoothies and cocktails — are delivered to your sunbed by attentive staff. Children's menus are available at every outlet.

🍹 Signature Drink: Sunset Bar house margarita at golden hour
🍽️ Must-Try Dish: Grilled sea bass at Villa Beach
🥂 Brunch: Madinat complex brunches AED 395–650
💰 F&B Credit: JBH + most Madinat outlets

"Best family day in Dubai — full stop. Our kids spent three hours at Sinbad's while we sat at the Pavilion pool with a cocktail looking at the Burj Al Arab. Five pools means you can always find a quiet one. The Wild Wadi combo is brilliant value if your kids are over 110cm."

★★★★★

"Booked the cabana for my wife's birthday — phenomenal day. The beach here is softer and wider than anywhere else in Jumeirah, service on the sand was attentive without being intrusive, and the sunset view is genuinely the best you can get without paying for a Burj Al Arab suite."

Tom R. — February 2026
★★★★

"Huge resort, lots to do. Only criticism is that on busy weekends the main pool can feel crowded by 11am if you're not early. Solution is to head to the family pool or the quieter north end of the beach. Weekday visit was perfect — almost empty."

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is a day pass at Jumeirah Beach Hotel?+
Adult pool and beach passes start from AED 300 on weekdays and AED 450 on weekends. Children's passes are approximately half price. Every pass includes access to the five outdoor pools, the 600-metre private beach, a reserved sunbed, towel, and a redeemable F&B credit across JBH and most Madinat Jumeirah outlets.
Does the day pass include Wild Wadi Waterpark?+
Wild Wadi is not automatically included. However, bundled combo tickets are available from approximately AED 450 (pool + Wild Wadi adult). This is significantly cheaper than buying both separately and gives access to both attractions on the same day via the Madinat waterway. Overnight hotel guests receive Wild Wadi access free.
Can you see the Burj Al Arab from the hotel?+
Yes — JBH sits directly next to Burj Al Arab, separated only by a private jetty. The Pavilion pool, the private beach, and the Sunset Bar all offer unobstructed views of the iconic sail-shaped tower. This is widely considered the best Burj Al Arab photography vantage accessible without booking into the Burj Al Arab itself.
Is JBH family-friendly for a day pass?+
Yes — arguably the most family-friendly luxury hotel day pass in Dubai. Sinbad's Kids Club (ages 2–12) is included in child passes, there's a dedicated kids pool with a gentle slide, shallow beach entry, children's menus everywhere, and baby-change facilities throughout. The Wild Wadi combo ticket extends the offer for older children.
Can I book a beach cabana?+
Yes — beach cabanas are available from AED 1,400 for up to four guests. Each includes a private shaded structure, premium sun loungers, dedicated beach service, and a substantial F&B credit. Book three to four weeks in advance for weekend service, especially October–April when demand is highest.
How does this compare to Madinat Jumeirah Beach?+
JBH and Madinat Jumeirah are sister properties on the same resort complex — your F&B credit works at both. JBH offers the wave-shaped icon and the most direct Burj Al Arab views. Madinat Jumeirah offers the souk village atmosphere and the abra waterway. Many guests do a morning at JBH's Pavilion pool and an afternoon walk through Madinat for lunch.
