As a business executive with a background in hospitality and operations, he arrived with a appreciation for premium service, value for money, and the details that separate a truly exceptional day from a mediocre one. Living on the Palm meant beach days became a way of life, not a special occasion.
But something frustrated him. The information available to Dubai residents and tourists was fragmented, outdated, and often distorted by marketing hype. TripAdvisor reviews were useful but didn't capture the nuances of a day-pass experience. Social media showed perfectly curated moments but not the reality of queuing for sunbeds or navigating a crowded pool during peak season. When friends arrived in Dubai, he found himself writing the same long emails again and again — explaining which venues worked for families, which had the best value, how to avoid tourist traps, and why some Instagram-famous spots were actually overrated.
Fredrik's 20-year career in business meant he approached this systematically.
