Soul Beach and La Mer Beach sit 5–8 km apart on the Jumeirah coastline, occupy a similar pricing tier, and both offer the essential Dubai beach club experience without the ultra-premium price tag of Nikki Beach or Drift. For many Dubai residents and visitors, they represent the sweet spot: quality beach, decent food, reasonable spend.
But they serve different needs. Soul Beach (Jumeirah 3) is a focused, intimate 300-person beach club — quieter, more curated, with health-forward food and a boutique atmosphere. La Mer Beach is part of the larger La Mer lifestyle complex — busier, more varied, family-friendly, and combining beach with shopping, restaurants and entertainment. This guide helps you choose.

Soul Beach's kitchen genuinely stands out — health-forward, colourful plates with Mediterranean and Asian influences, excellent açaí bowls, grain dishes and fresh seafood. The philosophy is beach-wellness: good ingredients, conscious nutrition, taste without excess. La Mer has multiple eateries in the complex but they're more casual outlet-style. If food quality matters to you, Soul Beach wins clearly.
Soul Beach's 300-person capacity creates an intimacy that La Mer's open-plan complex can't match. The curated music, attentive service and boutique feel make it genuinely enjoyable as a beach club. La Mer is more of a public beach with club facilities — busier, louder, less focused. For a proper beach club atmosphere, Soul Beach is the winner.
At AED 80–180 for a day pass, Soul Beach is one of the best-value genuine beach clubs in Dubai. La Mer is also good value at AED 150–280 but Soul Beach's lower entry point, combined with higher food quality, makes the cost-per-enjoyment calculation favour Soul Beach for most visitors.
La Mer's complex offers more for families — the Laguna Waterpark adjacent to La Mer is a major advantage, plus shopping, dining variety and space. The open-plan environment suits families with young children who want to move around freely. Soul Beach is welcoming to families but its boutique intimacy is better suited to adults and couples.
Soul Beach (Jumeirah 3) and La Mer (Jumeirah 1) are just 5–8 km apart on the same Jumeirah Road — a 10-minute drive. Some visitors use La Mer for a morning beach session (9:00–12:00, relaxed, family-friendly) and then drive up to Soul Beach for a longer afternoon visit (12:30–18:00) for the better food and quieter vibe.
More often, the choice is simply one or the other for a full day. Both offer free parking and zero Salik tolls from most Dubai communities via the Al Wasl / Jumeirah Road corridor.
Soul Beach wins this comparison on the metrics that matter most to a beach club visitor: food quality, intimacy, service and value. The AED 80–180 price point is genuinely hard to beat for what you receive, and the wellness-focused menu sets it apart from almost every other club in Dubai at this price tier.
But La Mer Beach is absolutely not to be dismissed. If you're bringing children, want variety, or simply enjoy the buzz of a larger open-air destination, La Mer's lifestyle complex format is excellent. It's also slightly more central for Downtown, City Walk and DIFC residents. In a close contest, choose Soul Beach for the experience and La Mer for the convenience and family-friendliness.
