Riva Beach Club and JA Beach are Dubai's two heavyweight family-friendly beach destinations — both with dedicated kids' facilities, both family-targeted, both delivering proper family beach days. Riva is the practical-family-resort at Palm Shoreline (Palm Jumeirah inner trunk). JA Beach is the bigger resort destination 35 km south at Jebel Ali — with a lazy river, multiple pools, and 800m beach.
Both are family-friendly but operate on different scales. Riva is half-day-friendly with shorter visit overhead. JA Beach is a destination day-trip experience. The decision is practical-Palm-day versus destination-Jebel-Ali-day.

JA Beach has a lazy river, multiple pools, 800m private beach, multiple F&B outlets across the resort — full destination resort. Riva is a beach club with kids' pool and playground (excellent at what it does but smaller). For destination family days, JA Beach is the bigger experience.
Riva is 14 minutes from JBR and 28 minutes from Downtown — easy day-trip from Dubai centre. JA Beach is 35 km south at Jebel Ali — 35–45 minutes by car each way. For half-day family visits, Riva is more accessible. For full destination days, JA Beach.
Riva's family of 4 weekday at AED 450 (entry only) is unbeatable in Dubai. JA Beach's family of 4 weekend runs AED 900 (entry only) plus food. Both are good value for what they deliver but Riva is meaningfully cheaper for a Palm-area family.
