Al Mamzar is one of Dubai's most underrated beach neighbourhoods. Positioned on the Dubai–Sharjah coastal border in the far northeast of the city, it has something almost no other inland community can claim: a genuine beach park on its own doorstep. Al Mamzar Beach Park is 5 km of real sandy beach with swimming pools, BBQ areas and calm lagoons — all for AED 5 entry. It's the best free (almost free) beach option in Dubai, and it's local for you.
For premium paid beach clubs with full DJ, food and cabana experiences, the journey is longer — 25–45 minutes depending on traffic and destination. But the routes are manageable, and this guide shows you exactly how to plan each trip. Whether you want La Mer's relaxed vibe, Nikki Beach's global glamour or Zero Gravity's action beach, we'll get you there efficiently.

Best Routes from Al Mamzar
ROUTE A
Al Ittihad Rd → Al Khail Rd → Jumeirah Road south
Best for: La Mer, Soul Beach, Kite Beach, Nikki Beach. Take Al Ittihad Road (E11) south past Deira, join Al Khail Road (D68) heading south. Exit towards Jumeirah or Al Wasl Road. No Salik tolls on this route. Off-peak travel time 25–40 minutes to La Mer/Soul Beach. This is your most cost-efficient route to Jumeirah venues.
ROUTE B
SZR (Sheikh Zayed Road) for JBR/Marina
Best for: Zero Gravity, Barasti, Azure Beach, AURA, Cloud 22. Use SZR southbound (E11) — involves Salik toll (AED 4). Off-peak 38–55 minutes to JBR. Avoid peak Fri/Sat mornings (7:30–10am) — SZR backs up significantly. Consider leaving before 7:30am or after 11am for these destinations.
METRO
Bus/Taxi to Rashidiya → Red Line → DMCC
Best for: Groups, cost savings on Fri/Sat, avoiding parking stress. From Al Mamzar, take a bus or Careem to Rashidiya Metro station (AED 15–30). Red Line westbound to DMCC station for JBR (50–65 min total). Metro avoids traffic entirely and costs AED 6–8 fare one way. A smart Fri/Sat strategy when JBR parking costs AED 20–40.
